Tom Walma is a disgruntled computer programmer who dabbles in standup comedy, podcasting, video livestreaming, and other creative pursuits.
The Creativity Wasted podcast was created by and is hosted by Tom Walma. The podcast is currently recorded remotely via Skype. It was previously recorded at Podcast Detroit, Broken Knuckle Studio, at various standup comedy open mics (apologies for the bad sound quality), and once on stage at the Crossroads Comedy Festival in Indianapolis, IN. Most of the guests of the podcast are amateur (open-mic level) comics in the Michigan area. A handful of the guests are feature-level or headliner-level comics. A few guests are creative people who are not comics, such as friends, YouTubers, podcasters, and sketch/screenwriting classmates. Ad oddly large number of comics who were guests on the podcast are lawyers in their day job. Guests who are teachers in their day job always use a fake name, presumably because public schools are an Orwellian nightmare.
