"Not Again" Comedic Zombie Movie

MovieTom WalmaComment

Idea: A comedic zombie movie where the dead come back to life, in the order of the most recently dead (or most well preserved) first. The zombies act exactly like normal people (i.e. they don't eat brains), but they hold their old prejudices (racism, Puritanism, etc.), poor hygiene habits, etc. In the end, people slay hoards of zombies just because they're so annoying

Tech Rant

TechCory B.Comment

A rant about poorly designed and/or pointless technology, such as voice recognition and smart homes. Also: smart light switches which fail to turn off the light, the smartest people in our society are working on dumb tech instead of important life-saving tech, an anecdote about a strobe light at a poker game

Reverse Pacemaker

Health, Invention, TechTom WalmaComment

Idea: An implantable medical device that detects when your heart stops, alerts a hospital, and then, instead of restarting your heart like a defibrillator/pacemaker, creates a cooling reaction in a cooling pad inside your body to cool nearby blood, and then the cooled blood is pumped through the body. This cooling slows cell death and gives you a few hours to be revived (like people who've drowned in Arctic ice water and then were revived a few hours later)

Daily Affirmation Mirror

Tech, SillinessSteve HansenComment

Idea: A daily affirmation mirror, which, when you look at yourself, makes you feel better about your disappointing appearance by saying "it's not your fault" (because hearing someone else say it is more convincing than just saying it to yourself). Also discussed: hacking the mirror to play mind games on a spouse, massage devices as "plausible deniability adult toys"
