I Wanna K*ll An Engineer (TV Show)

Idea: A TV show where people air grievances against engineers of bad and/or needlessly difficult to repair products, and the engineer responsible either immediately faces severe consequences (decided by the audience), or they have a chance to repair a broken product, and if they designed it so poorly that they fail to quickly repair it, then they (and possibly even their family) face the severe consequences. Also: debating whether Pam's grievance was actually the fault of an engineer; expanding the idea to punish other people who screw you over (either intentionally or through incompetence), such as mechanics, service workers, and realtors; customer service reps would either be immediately put on the chopping block for angering consumers, or would have immense power in deciding who's fault the problem was to put them on the chopping block instead

Insult To Injury

Idea: A TV show where real-life disputes are resolved via boxing matches and comedians commentate and then roast the winner (because roasting the loser would be too cruel). Also: providing a healthier outlet for male rage than gun violence; offering the bully free therapy instead of roasting them (because the US will do anything to avoid universal health care); comparing the idea to the TV show "Bully Beatdown" and discussing whether bullies are a fundamental aspect of this show (and deciding that they are not); having themed episodes, such as teachers vs. grown-up disruptive students, IT workers vs. annoying tech-illiterate office workers, Karens, etc.

Family Tree Rotten Apple Finding Service

Idea: A semi-satirical DNA-analyzing and family tree investigation service that only tells you negative aspects of your family tree, such as ancestors who did evil things, parents who aren't actually your biological parents, and inherited diseases that will probably kill you. Also: it could "unite everyone in hating where we come from"; maybe everyone should be forced to use this service in order to "air out everyone's dirty laundry" all at once; it might backfire if teenage boys find it "metal" and exciting to be related to a historical villain; this service could also solve historical crimes "for evil reasons" i.e. to bum out the murderer's descendants

Lawnmower Weedwacker Combo

Idea: A mount on a lawnmower for a weedwacker, so you can use the weedwacker while mowing instead of having to walk around the yard twice (once while mowing and once while weedwacking). Also, maybe weedwacker(s) could mount in front of the lawnmower wheels and run while you mow to widen the mowing width. Also: getting rid of the mower blade and just making a lawnmower out of a bunch of weedwackers; robotic Roomba-style lawnmowers exist now; Roombas and how often a house should be vacuumed (and other home/hygiene things); a burner attachment to burn yard waste so you don't have to keep emptying the bag

Human Damage Meter

Idea: A videogame-style "damage meter" and/or list of worst physical/mental/criminal attributes that nearby people can view about you (and you can view about them) on your phones. Also: it'd be useful during dating because it'd contain the stuff that people leave off their dating profile; it could alert you if someone's damage meter indicates they're a threat; evil people hurting you to see your damage meter increase in real-time; life-threatening health issues causing you to be less patient with other people

Corgis and Comedy

Idea: A standup comedy show in a "corgi cafe" where comedians have to compete with corgis for the audience's attention. The corgi may be on stage and there may be a vote or a penalty (such as reduced stage time) for losing against the corgi. Also: corgi vs. doge; the corgi and the comic must abide by the same rules (ex: if the dog barks, the comic can bark); unusual and nightmare comedy shows, such as a show where they shock the comic, a show in an insane asylum, and a show where a baby threw a diaper at the comic

Lucky Undy

Idea: Underwear with sports team logos or colors on them to be worn on game nights for luck. Also: making your friend wear your team's underwear on the outside of his pants as a penalty for losing a bet; giving yourself a wedgie to show your team spirit; complementary undies for couples; questioning whether "undy" is a real word or whether it's always plural, i.e. a "pair of undies"

Security Exophone

Idea: An "exophone" containing a metal box in which you put your Apple/Android phone to block its WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and microphone. The metal box has one USB/lightning cable sticking out, through which all data is passed between the Apple/Android phone and the exophone, including screen output, touch screen input, mic input, speaker output, Bluetooth, wired Ethernet (with location info stripped), etc. The exophone would contain it's own screen/mic/speaker/WiFi/cellular whose data is sent through the USB/lightning cable to the Apple/Android phone. There would be several physical switches on the exophone to enable/disable sending different types of data (such as GPS, Bluetooth, microphone) into the Apple/Android phone. That way, you have physical/hardware control over your privacy (because Apple, Google, and software in general cannot be trusted)

Parking Info in Map Apps

Idea: For map apps to warn you if there are no available parking spots near your destination, and to give you real-time info to help you park. Also: if pizza places allow you to track a pizza in real-time, why can't map apps keep track of parking in real-time; the app could tell you to hurry up to get the last spot before another car; helping you avoid red lights or cops in real-time

Motorized Ice Sled

Idea: A lightweight motorized sled or an "ice boat" to allow you to go ice fishing when the lake ice isn't thick enough for a full-sized snowmobile. Also: using a hovercraft to drive over weak lake ice; using a snow sled to drag people who pass out drunk to the car

Dissonance App

Idea: An app ("Dissonance App", "dissonance" being the opposite of harmony) that connects two people to have a toxic/hateful real-life encounter with each other. The app can filter by what you're angry about (racism, divorce, a petty topic like pineapple on pizza), the action you want to take (dating, arguing, boxing or bare-knuckle brawling), and/or the characteristics of the person to connect with (social class, body part proportions, whether they look like your ex). Also: if you to release your anger using this app you might be less angry in real life and on other dating apps and social apps; the "match found" icon could be a middle finger or a devil emoji; there could be a spectator mode to allow other people to witness the real-life encounters

Idea: Dissonance App: app to connect two ppl for a toxic/hateful IRL encounter (dissonance is the opposite of harmony)

Outdoor Dog Distractor

Idea: A device to either keep a dog occupied in your yard or periodically give the dog confirmation that it's okay to keep playing in the yard, so it'll stay outside longer without bugging you. Also: a human-like hologram or a ball-throwing robot that's too good might have the unintended consequence of winning too much of the dog's love from you; a whack-a-mole yard game could make the dog go crazy like Bill Murray in Caddyshack but would improve your sanity; an ominous warning about the desire to not be distracted for long periods of time and having kids

Junk Mail Prevention Service

Idea: A service where the post office filters out your junk mail for a monthly fee (either all junk mail or junk mail from specific companies that you specify). Also: maybe a kid could drive through the neighborhood after the mailman, filter out the junk mail, and give it to the homeless, or to someone else to use as insulation or something useful; a trenchcoat or puffy coat that allows you to add padding, such as junk mail or other clothing (to allow you to travel without bringing a suitcase); Skippy is shocked that Tom gets almost no junk mail

Car Lifting-Parking Valet Machine

Idea: A self-driving car lift that can act as a valet by sliding under your non-self-driving car, parking it for you, and then later returning it to you. Also: it could use the same self-driving tech that Tesla uses, but be limited to slow speeds and have front/rear padding for extra safety; millions of tech bros will soon be able to get out of their Tesla right in front of the entrance of a store (in front of the handicapped spots) and then have their cars park themselves, giving the handicapped an inferior parking experience; this valet machine would make handicapped spots unnecessary, but if there are no handicapped spots, stores might need human valets as backups for when these valet machines break down; the valet machine could drive your car through a car wash while you shop, and also Tom has never washed his car

DM's Sliders Restaurant

Idea: A restaurant that specializes in White Castle style sliders (which Brandon knows how to cook) and is themed around dirty jokes relating to "sliding into someone's DMs" and sexting, such as "DICK PICKles", ketchup packets labelled as "Sup?", and placemats with people's faces on them so you can get sauce all over them. Also: ordering the food via text using dirty talk and emojis; the wait staff could either "play it straight", talk dirty and use dirty jokes and puns, or act super offended; having a separate room behind a video store style beaded doorway for the more explicitly adult-themed jokes and menu, so normal people and maybe even kids can feel comfortable in the main area of the restaurant

Personalized AI Joke Writer

Idea: To train artificial intelligence (AI) based on your jokes (i.e. nobody else's jokes) and have it suggest new jokes for you based on your style. Also: incorporating audience reaction to your jokes in the AI training algorithm; configuring the AI to suggest jokes slightly outside of your usual style (for example, dirtier jokes); bad AI and privacy concerns on Netflix and social media; having AI generate smells based on audio/visual input, including fart smells based on the sound of the fart (FartGPT)

"Reprogrammable" Rollercoaster

Idea: A very long rollercoaster divided into 5 track segments, where each segment is it's own ride (with, for example, a jungle theme or a space theme), and the lines for the 5 rides criss-cross and get occasionally switched up, so you don't know which track segment of the rollercoaster you're gonna ride, and therefore you don't know how many hills or loops you'll experience. Also, the audio/visual/effects around the rollercoaster could be reprogrammed to instantly update/change the theme of the ride. The goal is to make a simple rollercoaster always feel fresh and new and unpredictable. Also: customizing the rollercoaster visuals for a wedding proposal; occasionally having an extra-long ride that uses more than one track segment; passing out on rollercoasters (and other places)

The Skip Pan and Concert Periscope 2

Ideas: A dustpan with a hand-powered pump/suction attachment to suck up the last line of dirt; a periscope for short people to use at concerts to see the stage. Also: preventing people from using the concert periscope upside-down for lewd voyeuristic purposes; sitting on someone's shoulders during a concert is a dick move; the joy of watching animals freak out during an eclipse and the despair of failing to see the Northern Lights in Michigan

The Silver Tongue (TV Series)

Idea: A gritty, realistic, HBO-style drama about an amoral social expert/negotiator/facilitator who works on contract to help solve problems for people or organizations, such as facilitating illegal commerce, helping a president avoid a scandal, helping someone get a date, etc. Also: avoiding the hacky network TV "genius protagonist" procedural format ("Lie to Me", "The Pretender", "Numb3rs", etc.) where the main character is too smart/powerful or making the main character's skill(s) relevant to each episode/plotline stretches believability; a backstory in which the main character honed his social skills in the mob but then the mob dissolved and so he went solo; the main character is like James Bond making witty comments at the Baccarat table but then there's no gunfight and everyone just peacefully walks away (like a Bond movie made in a world where movie violence isn't allowed); maybe the main character has almost supernatural social skills but can't get along with his family and repeatedly bombs at standup comedy open mics
